COMING SOON:

SAY IT!  STORIES, STRUGGLES, REALITIES

                    revolution-web.jpg

The application deadline for SYPP's newest internship opportunity has passed, and we have received an overwhelming number of youth applications!

In January, our 10-15 new youth interns will be hired, and we will begin a three month research and storytelling project that will help over 500 youth raise their voices, shed light on their most pressing issues, and share with each other about their visions and strategies for local social change.

Stay tuned, as you'll be able to follow Say It!'s journey on the web in 2010.

FANTASTIC SUPPORTERS

FANTASTIC BOWL-A-THON!

Thanks to our community of wonderful supporters, gracious volunteers, and caring youth, the 2009 Bowl-A-Thon was a major success!

SYPP raised almost $15,000 to help maintain SYPP's youth-led projects and programs, and we really showed that grassroots support can keep our community organizations alive even in times of economic recession.

Thanks to all who love and support SYPP, and get ready for some big things in 2010!

ACTING OUR AGE:

EVERY TUESDAY @SYPP

Sypp's youth-led street theatre/improv group is now meeting every Tuesday, at 4:30pm, at the SYPP office.  All youth are invited!  No experience necessary!

If you wanna take your voice to the streets, express your anger at the police, challenge authority for real...come to Acting Our Age!

2009 YOUTH ORGANIZING INSTITUTE:

A GREAT SUCCESS!

2009 YO

With 24 youth participants--17 of them brand new to SYPP!--this year's YO! was fantastic.  We all learned new skills in social analysis, youth organizing, and real world survival.  We bonded, danced, shared food and played games.  And we built the foundation for a new generation of youth led activism within SYPP and beyond!

HELP SYPP LEARN AND GROW

As we gear up to do some strategic planning and determine the future of SYPP, we need input from our longtime supporters, alumni, and staff.

Please take a few minutes to respond to this survey

and help us reflect on SYPP's work and SYPP's mission!
