Direct action for student walkouts and marches:
Since the events of Sandy Hook in 2012, over four hundred people have been shot on a school campus, and over a quarter of those victims were killed. This data reflects decades of lawmakers failing to put the safety of our classmates before their own partisan bickering and special interests. This is a gun issue, not a mental health issue. It’s about access to guns and assault weapons. The solution to this problem is not to militarize our classrooms by giving teachers guns. What we need is comprehensive gun control.
Our list of demands is as follows:
A ban on assault-style weapons.
Ban on bump stocks or any devices that modify semi-automatic weapons.
Raise the legal age of gun ownership to 21.
Comprehensive background checks.
